How to set up your NETSCAPE COMMUNICATOR mail reader.

 

To create a new account on Netscape Communicator 7.x

Start Netscape Communicator, Edit menu, Mail&News Settings
Outgoing Server, Name = mail.iperform.NET
  • Port, leave blank
  • Check the "Use name and Password" box
  • User Name = Your full email address e.g. YourEmailName@<yourdomain.com>
  • SSL when available
  • OK
Mail&News Settings
Add Account
  • Email
  • Your Name = What people see in your email
  • email address = YourEmailName@<yourdomain.com>, next
  • incoming server is POP3
  • Server = mail.iperform.NET
  • User name = your full email address e.g. YourEmailName@<yourdomain.com>
  • Account name = What shows in your account list
 
Try sending an email to yourself as a test.

 

 

To modify an existing account on Netscape Communicator 7.x

Start Netscape Communicator, Edit menu, Mail&News Settings
 
Account settings
  • Account name = What shows in your account list
  • Your Name = What people see in your email
  • email address = YourEmailName@<yourdomain.com>, OK
 
Server settings
  • POP = mail.iperform.NET
  • user = your full email address, e.g. YourEmailName@<yourdomain.com>
  • Leave mail on server should NOT be checked
